OUR CERTIFICATES

Recruitment procedures, accreditation of translators

We have a team of experienced specialist translators, who go through a complex skill verification process before they begin to work with us. Apart from providing documents, certificates and references confirming their competences, they are subject to our internal control. New translators receive test translation assignments in their specialist field to check the quality of the translation. The result of the verification process is the confirmation of the competences and accreditation of the translator. Thanks to the above, we can be sure that our translators are specialists and know perfectly well in which fields they have expert medical and interdisciplinary knowledge. Therefore, our translators have to meet certain criteria: excellent language skills, knowledge of the theory and strategies of translation of specialised texts, as well as solid and specialist education and appropriate predispositions. In addition, they must meet deadlines, have good communication skills and a desire to develop. In order to improve the quality of medical translations, we encourage our translators to constantly attend training courses, which allows us to monitor their progress during the long-term cooperation. Thanks to this, we are able to provide a wide selection of specialists who can prepare almost any type of translation. In the case of translation projects requiring a very detailed medical knowledge, we consult specialist or resident physicians.

Quality control: verification, editing, proofreading

Meeting the requirements and expectations of our customers, we ensure the highest quality of our translations that are in line with the customers' requirements. At the beginning of the translation project, we select the appropriate tools and processes, and above all, the appropriate translators in a given specialization.
Verification is the most important step of quality control and involves the comparison of the target language content with the source language content by an independent qualified translator.
Our offer also includes native speaker editing, i.e. verifying and smoothing the language of the translation so that the text sounds as natural as possible in the target language. In the case of translation of materials intended for print, we also conduct proofreading, which includes checking the verified content before printing (the "proof") and making the necessary corrections.
The final step in the execution of any translation project is an internal quality control performed by the project manager. This stage consists in checking the translation for completeness, correctness of the terminology used with the glossary, the consistency of the numerical data as well as the layout and formatting of the text.
